We did two homes back-to-back in West Des Moines, and the results speak for themselves. One went with a clean warm white look - lights traced along every roofline, dormer, and garage edge for that classic, elegant feel. The other went bold with a candy cane combo that added some serious color and personality to the street.

Both setups were installed the same day, and we worked out a smart multi-home discount for the clients. That's something we love being able to offer when neighbors want to get lit up together. Better value for them, and honestly - the whole block looks better when more than one house is done right.

Here's the thing about warm white lights done well: it's all about consistent spacing and clean lines. No sagging, no bunching, no random gaps. When you run lights along every angle of a roofline the way we do, the house stops looking like someone just tossed lights up there and starts looking intentional. Polished. Like the home was designed with the lighting in mind.

The candy cane look is a completely different vibe but just as sharp when it's installed properly. That red and white alternating pattern has to be even and deliberate - otherwise it just looks messy. We take the same attention to detail on both styles, whether you want something warm and understated or bright and festive.

West Des Moines was glowing that night, and we drove the street after wrapping up just to see how it all came together. Both houses lit, the neighborhood feeling cozy and alive. That's exactly what good holiday lighting installation is supposed to do.
