This one had a lot going on. The backyard was overgrown and cluttered - the kind of space that has good bones underneath but needs someone to come in, make the tough calls, and get it sorted out. That's exactly what we did.
We went through every bed and kept roughly 30% of what was already there - the plants worth saving got to stay. Everything else came out. From there, we cleaned up the stone walking path, tidied the bed edges, and added a few new plant touches to fill in where things were sparse. The goal was to keep the character of the yard while cutting out all the noise.
Fresh brown mulch went down in both the front and back. It's one of those details that ties everything together. Clean mulch makes the beds look intentional, keeps weeds down, and gives buyers - or anyone walking through - that first impression you actually want them to have.
What we ended up with is a yard that feels open and cared for. The stone path flows cleanly through the space, the beds have definition, and the lawn has room to breathe. It went from something that felt like a project to something that actually shows well. That's the whole point when a home needs to be market ready.
