20 Tons of Gravel Fixes a Soggy Shop Lot in Central Des Moines

A gravel lot with standing water and low spots sounds like a minor inconvenience - until it's your shop space. Here's what we were working with - multiple soft spots and low areas holding water across the lot, making it genuinely hard to use on a daily basis. We brought in 20 tons of clean gravel, filled every low spot, and leveled the entire area out so water has somewhere to go instead of just sitting there.

We used a tracked skid steer to move and grade the material across the lot. That type of machine gives us a lot of control when we're spreading and leveling gravel - tight spots, uneven ground, areas right up against a building. It's the right tool for this kind of work.
